Hello and Welcome! I started Satisfied Creations as a personal project to document my culinary journey through developing recipes and creating tasty dishes for my family.
Growing up, my mom would cook for our family and make 4-5 dishes plus a soup every night after coming home from work. How she did that I will never know, but my mom is a miracle worker. Dinner time was a focal point of our lives, where we spent the most time together during our busy packed schedules.
My culinary journey started in 2010. Determined to save money, I ordered as many cookbooks as our 400 sq ft apartment could manage. Devouring myself into the cookbooks, I meticulously attempted to cook dish after dish using exact measurements from the recipes. My skill level improved from scorching a pot of rice to now cooking elaborate dishes.
My next mission: to learn how to cook dishes from scratch without recipes. Many of the dishes that my mom made came from her memories, passed down from generation to generation. She couldn’t tell me exact measurements or substitutions. Thus, I enrolled myself in home cook classes at the local cookware shop to further refine my skills. My kitchen turned into a test kitchen – or more like a science lab – experimenting with different quantities of liquids until I arrive at the tastiest sauce imaginable. Learning and sharing food is a way for me to connect with my roots and share with the rest of the world – including YOU!
